Creative Reuse, Innovative Design, and Vintage Charm
If it can be reimagined, it can be reused!

If it can be reimagined, it can be reused!

My name is Jenny and I've been creating for as long as I can remember.
In college, I took an Environmental Studies course and learned about the sheer amount of waste humans produce. This led me down a years long rabbit hole of changes I could make to lessen my environmental impact.
Eventually, I stumbled upon the idea of "creative reuse", which is exactly what it describes. Taking an object, and repurposing it in a way that it otherwise may not be used for. Around the same time, my grandmother had begun giving me some of her broken vintage costume jewelry, as I was in college and couldn't afford beads for my beading habit.
Since then, it's been a whirlwind of creating, experimenting, succeeding and failing, and somewhere along the line Vintcycle was born.

Though not 100% of our products contain upcycled, vintage, and/or non-traditional materials, and our products are not limited to just jewelry, the primary focus of our business is keeping what exists out of the landfill. Any items that contain vintage, upcycled, or any other kind of reused secondhand material will be clearly labelled as such.

I do my best to research anything related to something I may be repurposing so that the material I am advertising is as accurate as possible however due to the nature of the secondhand items the majority of my products are made of, the authenticity and composition of any material or item cannot be 100% guaranteed.

Unless a market we are vending at allows for resale items, or specifies that vintage resale is allowed, all of the items at our booth will be apart of our handmade items.
If you are purchasing from our showcase located in Altamont Vintage, it is more likely the piece you are purchasing is a vintage/antique resale item.
If you have questions about whether a piece is handmade, or apart of my "Resale Before Reuse" project, please feel free to ask any questions you may have

I try to ensure that the majority of my inventory at any given sale or market, is comprised primarily of items that align with our mission of the spreading awareness for creative reuse, it's ease, and the art that can be created from it.

While our creative reuse process strives to use 100% of the item, oftentimes due to age or wear and tear, it is not possible to use 100% of the item. Therefore, in an effort to reduce any textile waste we may produce, if any second-hand materials, or jewelry items to be repurposed, obtained are in good condition, and of good quality, I will attempt to resell the item in its original, or a lightly refurbished, condition before repurposing the item for it's components and/or materials.
